All the parents and babies are in a circle with a maraca each. Julie leads the parents to keep a steady beat with the maracas on the floor and begins to sing short musical phrases which the parents repeat. Julie captures the babies attention with the rise and fall of her voice and you can see the joy on the babies face as they become more and more involved in the musical play. Then the most amazing thing happens, there is a shift in relationship as the children are given the space to explore their own voices. Barely missing a beat the children find their voice and become the leaders. By the end there is a choir of children and parents exchanging musical ideas. It is the most gorgeous sound of the rise and fall of babies voices echoed by proud parents response. Truly the most beautiful duet I have ever heard.
