As parents (& educators) we spend a lot of time doing our best to grow children who have the resilience and capabilities they need for strong mental health and lifelong confidence.
It is one of the foremost concerns for a lot of families we speak to.
The things that we know make a profound impact are often the simple things that are so quickly overlooked.
Time in nature
Music
Time to freely play
Creating
Connecting
Being calm and regulated
These things make a difference. By choosing to focus on prioritising some of these basics, parents and educators can make a lifelong impact on children.
People say “it’s the little things that count”. We would argue music and nature and connecting are by no means little.
They are huge. Simple -yes. Little- absolutely not.
